" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it provides a unique platform to collaborate with like-minded individuals who are committed to driving positive change. The opportunity to contribute to a global community of changemakers aligns perfectly with my passion for advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in areas of peace, justice, and gender equality. The work I do is driven by a deep belief in the power of education, inclusivity, and collective action to transform societies and uplift underrepresented voices. Being a Millennium Fellow amplifies my ability to make a meaningful impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Room 828

Room 828 is a pioneering project focused on rehabilitating street children in Ilorin, Kwara State. The project provided a supportive environment for vulnerable children, empowering them to break free from the cycle of poverty.
During the project's implementation, we successfully reached out to over 350 street children. Our team distributed essential materials, including educational resources, clothing, and personal hygiene items. Moreover, we introduced these children to the concept of formal education, helping them enroll in schools and access quality learning opportunities.
Through Room 828, we witnessed remarkable transformations in the lives of these children. As they began to attend school, their confidence grew, and they started to envision a brighter future. Our project not only provided tangible support but also instilled hope and a sense of belonging among these young individuals.
By rehabilitating street children and integrating them into mainstream education, Room 828 is contributing to the creation of a more equitable society. As we continue to expand our reach, we remain committed to empowering marginalized children and helping them unlock their full potential.
