United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Cervical Cancer Awareness

Cervical Cancer Awareness, as the name implies is a community centered awareness and HPV vaccination initiative carried out by the Millennium Fellows of Abia State University. Our goal was to bridge the knowledge gap surrounding cervical cancer and empower young girls with accurate information and increase the uptake of the HPV vaccine within our local community.

About the Millennium Fellow

Chidinma Ogbonna is a 5th year medical student in Abia State University. She is passionate about Medicine and community outreaches that educate low to middle income families in Nigeria. Chidinma has an interest in internal medicine. She hopes to launch a campaign titled PROACT. PROACT is an initiative to be launched for men above 45 which belong to low to middle income groups. It aligns with SDG 3. Chidinma hopes to make a international difference with the help of the MCN fellowship.
