" A beautiful and sustainable environment has been at the core of my childhood experience. So when I grew older and realized that such ecosystems are endangered all over the world by the basic everyday plastic waste we consume, I knew I had to step up. With the help of the Millennium Fellowship and its network of like minded individuals, I want to help build a system that encourages us to minimize our unsustainable consumption and preserve the beautiful natural environment surrounding us. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainability Initiatives @APU
Our project is an initiative to replace plastic packaged food items from our cafeterias on campus with sustainably packaged items. This initiative is to essentially reduce packaging plastic waste generated on our campus, and also spread awareness about the harmful effects of plastic on our environment, and the importance of sustainable packaging.
