United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Orli Project

The Orli Project is an independent project which seeks to advance SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality)
by improving access to educational resources for girls in Nigerian secondary schools through partnership with a Non-
Governmental Organization (NGO) to provide books and learning materials to secondary school girls in Lagos, Nigeria, thereby promoting literacy,
supporting academic achievement, and empowering girls to pursue their education.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ofure Ojo is a final year Public Health student at Babcock University, Nigeria. Her childhood curiosity about inequalities sparked a passion for social justice, fueling her commitment to creating a world where everyone has equal access to opportunities that enable them to pursue their dreams, regardless of gender, background, circumstance, etc.
Ofure contributes to non-profit work focused on gender equality and health equity, majorly in underserved communities.
In her academic journey, Ofure has received numerous accolades, held leadership positions, and maintained excellent academic standing.
In her leisure time, she enjoys word games, sudoku, casual nature photography, and watching crime series.
