About the Millennium Fellow

Ogundipe Darasimi Tabitha is a third-year nursing student at Babcock University, Nigeria. Born and raised in Lagos, where she currently resides, Darasimi is the first of three children and has consistently demonstrated focus, discipline, and a deep sense of purpose from an early age. Her journey from a determined young student in secondary school to an aspiring healthcare professional has been driven by an unwavering passion for improving people’s health.
Motivated by her belief that access to quality healthcare is a right and not a privileged, Darasimi chose to pursue nursing as a means of serving her society and addressing health challenges in her community. Her commitment aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. Through the Millennium Fellowship, she aims to design and implement impactful health initiatives that will promote preventive care, enhance health awareness, and improve access to essential healthcare services, especially for underserved populations.
Darasimi envisions a future where her professional expertise as a nurse will enable her to make lasting contributions to global health, empowering individuals and communities to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
