Millennium Fellowship Project: Raising Awareness of NCDs among Students

This project focuses on raising awareness of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDS) among students. The goal is aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being). The project aims to educate students in Mwanza Tanzania about major NCDS such as hypertension, diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases, emphasizing prevention, early detection, and healthy lifestyle practices for the health future nation. Through workshops peer-education sessions, and distribution of educational materials, the project seeks to empower students with knowledge that can reduce NCD risk factors and promote a healthier community.

About the Millennium Fellow

Godfrey Mwakihaba is a committed student at the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences in Tanzania. He cares deeply about healthcare, community service, and personal growth. Godfrey takes part in academic and extracurricular activities that boost his leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. Driven by a desire to make a positive difference, he wants to help improve health systems and tackle community issues. Through education and mentorship, Godfrey hopes to create a rewarding career that enhances the well-being of others and supports sustainable development.
