" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the opportunity to turn my passion for economics and social impact into action, collaborate with peers, and follow the inspiration I felt when I saw the names of Millennium Fellows honored with pride during last year’s farewell. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Guard Your Future

Guard Your Future (G.Y.F) is dedicated to improving the lives of security guards, and housekeeping staff in and around my campus, many of whom are migrant workers. The project focuses on four key areas: financial literacy, digital skills, health awareness, and educational planning for their children. From August to December 2025, four in-person sessions will be conducted. The first will be an interactive needs analysis discussion to understand their day to day challenges and design solutions accordingly. The following sessions will cover practical topics such as budgeting and saving, using UPI and communication apps, preventive healthcare and affordable treatment options, and guidance on scholarships and career pathways for their children. The initiative aims to reach and positively impact security guards and staff, equipping them with essential skills and resources to improve their daily lives and future opportunities.
