United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Balanced individual-an asset and Trinetra

This fellowship project aims to psychoeducate school students and individuals about the basics and importance of mental health. The project focuses on creating awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting emotional well-being through interactive workshops, discussions, and activities tailored to different age groups.
The sessions will cover key topics such as understanding emotions, stress management, building resilience, seeking help, and breaking myths around mental health. By making psychological knowledge accessible and relatable, the project seeks to empower participants with coping skills and awareness of available support systems.
In the long term, the initiative hopes to foster a more empathetic, informed, and mentally healthy community, especially in regions where awareness and access to mental health education remain limited.

About the Millennium Fellow

Soumya Kandhari is a BSc Psychology student at Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR, driven by a passion for understanding the human mind and fostering positive change. An is a theater enthusiast and accomplished poet she was honored to meet the President of India Pratibha Patil at a very young age to recite her poem on a very famous Indian festival Raksha bandana . Soumya seeks to merge her artistic creativity with her academic expertise to address mental health challenges, break societal stigmas and inspire communities globally through advocacy, empathy and transformative dialogue as mental health has lot of myths and taboos in India specially .
