United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Legal Aid and Awareness
This project aims to increase access to legal education and legal aid for underprivileged communities. During the Millennium Fellowship, I volunteered for Legal Awareness Week, held from October 27th to 31st, 2025. Collaboration with fellow class members who were part of the community enabled effective communication and translation, overcoming language barriers and ensuring the program reached and benefited the intended audience.
About the Millennium Fellow
Faith Chepchirchir Maiyo is a resilient, brilliant and globally competitive pre-law student at Chuka University. She was born in Kenya, resides in Kenya and currently studying in Chuka. She is also pursuing CPA , a KASNEB course under the same institution. She is passionate about legal awareness; advocating for social justice , legal aid and upholding societal rights. This drive translated from her judicial attachment were unfolded empathy and cry for justice for the less educated and legal unaware in the society. Through her leadership , she seeks to elevate legal awareness and aspires to learn and engage with her Millennium Fellows to contribute in the development of the United Nation`s Sustainable Goals.
