Millennium Fellowship Project: Bridging The Gap Between Gender-Based Violence and Mental Health to All
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is commonly associated with women and girls, which often leaves other vulnerable groups especially young men, persons living with disabilities (PLWDs) and orphans largely unsupported or overlooked. This project seeks to highlight and address the often-hidden connection between GBV and mental health challenges faced by these groups. By integrating GBV awareness, prevention, support services, and mental health interventions, the project aims to build safer, more resilient communities. I believe by fixing mental health problems especially for men who are always main perpetrators of GBV, will reduce the increasing day-to-day GBV cases in the society. Therefore, this project aims to provide safer spaces for men to freely express themselves, interact with other stakeholders grow holistically. It will also be a reliable source to act as a rescue center for orphans, mentally incapacitated, widowers, people living with disability, GBV case related and many more. I believe this is one of the groundbreaking project that should be embraced to make the world a better place.
