" Having read articles and also heard stories from the Millennium Fellowship alumni, I am convinced that it is not just a program; it is a profound journey of self-discovery, connecting with passionate change makers, and turning our shared dreams into tangible realities for a better world. For me, it is about finding your voice and working alongside others to create a ripple effect of positive change that will last for generations, and this is something to be excited about. The skills I gain from the Fellowship will make my social impact more tangible and aligned with UNAI principles and SDGs. I anticipate that being part of the fellowship will give me access to tools, enhance my skill set, challenge me, and provide a network to amplify my impact as well as push me to grow in many aspects. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Beyond the Triple Threat
The project is aimed at addressing new HIV infections, teenage pregnancies and gender based violence with emphasis on adolescents and young adults who contribute the most of this cases. The aim to to be able to get mitigate and where possible eliminate the incidences especially with regard to our community setup. The project targets adolescents and young adults who based on statistics; due to the crises they are constantly experiencing find themselves in situations where they end up being victims of the said occurrences. We aim mostly at capacity building along with support from our partners because we believe that to be knowledgeable is to be empowered. Our utmost drive is to see a society that is healthier and better in all aspects where its future generation is equipped to take charge and have control over their tomorrow without being exposed to vulnerabilities that cripple the very essence of their dreams.
