Millennium Fellowship Project: Period Flow Freedom
This is a dear project to create awareness among young girls about menstrual hygiene, to educate the young girls on the whole concept of menstruation, the care and support they need, the requirements and also to provide some of the items they would need necessarily sanitary towels. Additionally, to educate them about the importance of taking care of oneself during this period, to educate them about sexual life featuring abstinence preferably and if not so ways of preventing early pregnancy. This is also a project that aims at building a community where a girl feels safe to share her problems and we find a solution for it within our capabilities, a project to empower the girl child for a bright future where they are able to define their parts in life and understand the importance of their existence and work towards becoming better individuals.
About the Millennium Fellow
Vian Chelangat is a brave,young ,vibrant and enthusiastic lady who champions for human rights in the society. Viane is also actively participating in leadership positions. She is inclined to Children Human rights especially the girl child ,which is the tight to ensuring they have access to proper menstrual hygiene which pertains their right to dignity and life and also alines with SDG NO. 3.She is ambitious that this platform and opportunity will help her delve more into her advocacy.
