Millennium Fellowship Project: India SDGs Gap : Digital Mapping
The project aims to do a comprehensive assessment of the SDGs Gap in India and highlight gaps including Rural-urban disparities, gender inequality, climate resilience etc. It aims to strengthening the Data, Monitoring & Accountability. Currently, we have provided 172+ specific indicators with exact quotations from primary sources
Addressing India's Statistical Performance Indicators score of 73.3/100, with identified gaps in social and environmental data coverage creating accessible, referenced data for evidence-based policymaking. The project hopes to enhance Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships, Create a shared knowledge base for government, civil society, academia, and international partners, Facilitate coordinated action across sectors by identifying common priorities and Knowledge Sharing & Capacity Building
About the Millennium Fellow
Umar Shareef, from Jammu and Kashmir, is a Biotechnology student with a passion for research, writing, and creating positive change. He is the founder of Noor-ul-Kitaab, a non-profit initiative that aims to leverage literacy and numeracy in underserved communities. Combining his academic
focus with six years of community service, he is currently working in the sphere of climate education to provide necessary resources to young individuals. Umar enjoys reading, writing, and painting, which provide him with creative and reflective outlets. Aspiring to make impactful contributions in biotechnology, he is committed to advancing both science and society on a global scale.
