" I am passionate about protecting human life, fostering peace, and bringing hope to my community. The Millennium Fellowship excites me because it will strengthen my leadership, expand my network, and give me the tools to turn my vision of supporting vulnerable people into a lasting impact. I believe that through collaboration, compassion, and dedication, I can help create a world where smiles replace suffering and peace becomes a shared reality. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: I Stand for Humanity
My project involved visiting households and local care centers to support vulnerable individuals and children in need. Activities included providing donated food, clothing, and hygiene items; assisting with personal care such as washing, hair grooming, and cleaning; teaching basic hygiene and first aid practices; and conducting awareness and educational activities to promote health and wellbeing. The project also included tree planting and interactive engagement to foster a supportive and caring environment
The project successfully achieved its primary goals of supporting vulnerable individuals and children through direct care, hygiene education, and provision of essential donations. Specifically, we visited over 20 households and the Neema Children’s Home in Nyeri, providing food, clothing, and hygiene services, assisting with personal care, and teaching first aid and hygiene practices. While the original goal was to raise KSh 150,000 to support these communities, we successfully raised the targeted amount, ensuring that the donations reached those in need. What went well included strong community engagement, active participation of donors, and positive feedback from beneficiaries. Areas for improvement include increasing volunteer participation and expanding outreach to more households, which would allow the project to reach a wider audience.
