" My passion for sustainability stems from witnessing the alarming effects of plastic pollution on Pakistan’s environment and climate. I believe empowering youth with awareness and actionable steps can create lasting change. The Millennium Fellowship excites me because it will strengthen my capacity to educate, engage, and mobilize young people towards reducing plastic use and embracing sustainable practices. Through this platform, I hope to transform collective awareness into impactful community action aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Her Right, Her Voice

Her Right, Her Voice is a group project led by 4-5 Millennium Fellows at my campus, dedicated to addressing women’s rights and social justice in Pakistan. The project aims to educate women and girls about their fundamental rights by first identifying and understanding the core components of women’s rights and then delivering this knowledge through interactive sessions and awareness programs. During the Millennium Fellowship period (August–December 2025), the project will host a minimum of 2 to 3 in-person or online sessions designed to empower participants with legal, social, and educational awareness. We aim to directly engage 80–100 women and girls, equipping them with the tools to advocate for themselves and contribute toward building a more inclusive and equitable society. I am eager to work with them on this project and contribute to their mission of empowering women and girls.
