" I am very passionate about advocating against domestic/gender based violence having seen how deteriorating it can be and how it affects children particularly those who grew up in such a family. I believe this is a great opportunity for me to make a lasting impact in not just my immediate environment but also a larger society, impacting their lives and enlightening them on the dangers associated with Domestic / Gender based violence. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Gender Based Violence

Domestic violence is a pattern of controlling or coercive behavior that can lead to serious long-term effects on the victim. Domestic violence is non-discriminatory. It is not gender-based, as both genders can be perpetrators of such an act; it can occur in marriages, relationships, etc. In this part of the world we live in (Nigeria), it seems to be a norm that ordinarily isn't meant to be so. This is the project I and my team hope to embark on and possibly curtail or eradicate domestic violence in all and sundry
