United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

" My passion for promoting good health and quality education, especially in the fight against drug addiction, has shaped both my studies in pharmacy and my community outreach efforts. Being selected as a Millennium Fellow excites me because it offers a platform to amplify my impact through collaboration, mentorship, and global perspectives. I believe that by connecting with dedicated peers and gaining practical skills, I can create sustainable initiatives that not only address immediate health challenges but also empower young people to make informed choices, aligning my work with the SDGs and the UNAI principles. Millennium Fellowship Project: Unplug and Peculiar
The goal is to create awareness, provide guidance, and offer positive alternatives through the Unplug and Peculiar MCN initiative. These young people often face stress, academic pressure, social influence, and misinformation, making them a crucial group to reach with early prevention.
During the Millennium Fellowship period, the Unplug and Peculiar MCN project successfully amplified awareness about drug abuse prevention and mental wellness among young people.
Accomplishments:
Created impactful awareness posts, including visual content promoting the message “Say No to Drug Abuse.”
* Reached young audiences through social media engagement and in-person discussions.
* Sparked open conversations about peer pressure, mental health, and responsible decision-making.
* Strengthened the message of self-awareness and self-protection
About the Millennium Fellow
Ajadi Favour Mary is a passionate 500-level pharmacy student at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. Deeply committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, especially SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Quality Education, she focuses her efforts on educating people about the dangers of drug addiction and promoting healthy living. Beyond her studies, Favour actively engages in community outreach, using her knowledge to inspire change and empower young people. She hopes to combine her expertise in pharmacy with her drive for advocacy to create a lasting impact on public health and education in Nigeria and beyond.
