" I believe that technology and finance, when guided by empathy and leadership, can bridge gaps and create equitable opportunities. As a Millennium Fellow, I'm excited to collaborate with change makers who turn data into action—because progress shouldn't be measured in algorithms alone, but in lives uplifted "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Social impact in Finance
The project focused on research on how financial services can serve social impact, targeting both the environment and individuals. During the Millennium Scholarship period, our project “Financial for Good” successfully developed and launched a financial education application focused on social impact. Our original plan was to complete a product prototype and reach 50 users, but we exceeded expectations by launching a beta version and attracting over 120 registered users through campus activities and social media. Key factors for success included efficient teamwork, mentor support from the Millennium Scholarship, and collaboration with partner student organizations, which helped accelerate product iteration and user testing. An area for improvement is introducing a user feedback mechanism earlier, as some functions could not be launched as scheduled due to limited technical resources.
About the Millennium Fellow
As a passionate individual with a strong background in both computer science and finance, I combine technical expertise with leadership to drive meaningful change. Proficient in Python, AI, and financial data tools like Wind, I led a university Data for Good initiative, where my team developed automated reporting systems for nonprofits, saving over 400 hours of manual work. Beyond technical skills, I thrive in collaborative environments—as a volunteer coordinator for a financial literacy program, I organized workshops for 200+ community members and secured partnerships with eight organizations to fund social impact projects. My CFA Level 1 preparation further deepens my financial acumen, which I apply practically, such as optimizing donation allocation models for a children’s foundation, increasing aid distribution efficiency by 30%. With proven execution ability—balancing a 3.4 GPA with 500+ volunteer hours—I excel at building trust, mobilizing teams, and delivering data-driven solutions for social good.
