When I traveled to the United Kingdom as an exchange student, I surprisingly found out that every bathroom in UK schools had sanitary towels and tampons provided for free as I can never find any in mainland China and Hong Kong, where I grew up and currently study. Through the experience in the UK for three months, I strongly believe this is necessary just like every bathroom should have and already has toilet paper as it is a human need. Also, I think schools should be the most suitable place to start with, as everyone is educated here, and they should learn not only technical knowledge but also human rights and equality. Thus, I decided to start from where I study every day - Hong Kong Polytechnic University, providing free and safe sanitary towels and tampons for every woman including students, professors, and workers in my university as the first step. This is just the first step as I deeply wish to impact more and more people. The progress will start from my university to all universities in Hong Kong, and then to all universities in mainland China.
