" "My passion for women’s rights and true equity drives my vision of a society where fairness is rooted in justice, not mere equality. Becoming a Millennium Fellow will equip me with the skills, network, and platform to transform this vision into impactful initiatives. I am excited to collaborate with like-minded change makers, learn innovative approaches to social action, and contribute meaningfully toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially those advancing gender equality and empowerment for marginalized communities." Millennium Fellowship Project: The SDGs Force: From Ideas To Impact
The SDG Force: From Ideas to Impact is a multi-phase community initiative designed to transform innovative ideas into meaningful action. The project focused on key Sustainable Development Goals—primarily SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). In the first phase, we collaborated with the Federal Directorate of Immunization to promote the national HPV vaccination campaign. The second phase addressed maternal and child health by raising awareness about antenatal care, safe delivery, and early childhood well-being. In the third phase, we worked on improving child nutrition through education on healthy feeding practices and growth monitoring. In the final phase, we aim to promote child protection awareness, focusing on safety, rights, and prevention of abuse. Together, these phases reflect our commitment to improving community health, empowering women and children, and contributing to long-term sustainable development.
