Millennium Fellowship Project: Steps toward Climate Resilience
Steps Toward Climate Resilience is a group project led by Millennium Fellows. The project is dedicated to promoting climate awareness and encouraging sustainable practices within the community. By planting and distributing trees, sharing informative leaflets, and organizing awareness sessions, the team aims to inspire people to take small but impactful actions for a greener and more resilient future.
During the Millennium Fellowship period (August–December 2025), Step Towards Climate Resilience will:
Plant and distribute at least 200 trees across the community.
Organize 2–3 awareness sessions on climate resilience and sustainability.
Distribute 500 informative leaflets to raise awareness on eco-friendly practices.
Directly engage 400+ individuals through events and outreach initiatives.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mst. Zakiya Sultana is an aspiring changemaker and undergraduate Agriculture student at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University in Dinajpur, Bangladesh, where she was born and raised. Deeply committed to social impact, she is passionate about addressing teenagers’ mental health—an often overlooked yet vital issue. Through her Millennium Fellowship project, Zakiya seeks to inspire open dialogue, reduce stigma, and build supportive spaces for young people to flourish. She envisions blending her academic expertise with compassionate leadership to create lasting, positive change in her community and beyond.
