ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Steps toward Climate Resilience

"Step Towards Climate Resilience" is a group project led by Millennium Fellows. The project is dedicated to promoting climate awareness and encouraging sustainable practices within the community. By planting and distributing trees, sharing informative leaflets, and organizing awareness sessions, the team aims to inspire people to take small but impactful actions for a greener and more resilient future.
During the Millennium Fellowship period (August–December 2025), "Steps toward Climate Resilience" will:
Plant and distribute at least 200 trees across the community.
Organize 2–3 awareness sessions on climate resilience and sustainability.
Distribute 500 informative leaflets to raise awareness on eco-friendly practices.
Directly engage 400+ individuals through events and outreach initiatives.

About the Millennium Fellow

Tasbiul Islam is a dedicated undergraduate student at the Faculty of Agriculture, Hajee Mohammed Danesh Science and Technology University in Bangladesh. As a group representative and active lab collaborator, he leads with empathy and purpose. Passionate about mental health advocacy, Tasbiul is excited to contribute to the project “Esho Hashi Eksathe (Mental Health Matters)” to promote emotional well-being among peers. Through the Millennium Fellowship, he aims to advance SDG 3—Good Health and Well-being—and dreams of pursuing a Master’s and PhD to contribute meaningfully to global research and mental health equity.
