" “Being part of the Millennium Fellowship means advancing my advocacy for antimicrobial resistance awareness and WASH in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 3, 6, and 17. It offers the opportunity to collaborate with diverse change makers, sharpen my skills in global health communication, and gain cross-cultural perspectives that will help design scalable solutions for healthier communities and a more sustainable future.” "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Combating Antimicrobial Resistance
Our project focuses on raising awareness about Antimicrobial Resistance and promoting behaviour change among young people. We work to help students understand what AMR is, how the misuse of antibiotics increases resistance, and the simple hygiene practices that can reduce its spread. Through school visits, interactive teaching sessions, and peer conversations, we provide students with clear and practical knowledge they can apply in their daily lives. Our overall aim is to support the reduction of behaviours that worsen AMR by equipping the next generation with accurate and useful information.
