Millennium Fellowship Project: EVolve for Sustainability
EVolve for Sustainability is a community-driven initiative aimed at promoting electric mobility as a key solution for building cleaner and more sustainable cities. The project focuses on increasing awareness of electric vehicles (EVs), addressing infrastructure-related challenges, and encouraging environmentally responsible commuting habits through education and community engagement.
The project follows a structured, multi-phase approach. Initially, the team examines the environmental, technological, and policy aspects of EV adoption to understand existing barriers and opportunities. Building on this foundation, the project moves into an outreach phase between August and December 2025, during which three community workshops and two public demonstration events will be conducted to educate students, commuters, and policymakers.
Through these activities, EVolve for Sustainability aims to directly engage at least 300 individuals and develop a digital toolkit summarizing EV-related resources, with a target reach of 1,000 online views or downloads. The project supports Sustainable Development Goals 7, 9, and 11, and advances the UNAI principle of Sustainability by promoting cleaner energy use and resilient urban transportation systems.
