Millennium Fellowship Project: Ovelia Health

Ovelia Health is a digital women’s health platform dedicated to improving early detection, education, and care navigation for individuals affected by reproductive and hormonal health conditions, with an initial focus on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Ovelia addresses a critical gap in women’s healthcare: millions of patients experience years of delayed or misdiagnosed reproductive health conditions due to fragmented care, stigma, and lack of accessible screening tools.
At the core of Ovelia is a clinically informed, evidence-based digital screening tool designed to identify risk for PCOS and related endocrine disorders using validated symptom patterns, medical history, and lifestyle factors. The platform pairs this screening with personalized education, symptom tracking, and resource navigation to help users understand their health earlier and connect with appropriate clinical care more efficiently. Ovelia also integrates an AI-powered emotional support companion to provide empathetic, stigma-free guidance and reinforce user engagement throughout the care-seeking journey.
Ovelia Health is being developed in collaboration with clinicians, public health researchers, and patient advisors to ensure clinical validity, ethical design, and real-world usability. The team is currently pursuing IRB approval to validate the screening tool and is focused on piloting with diverse user populations to reduce diagnostic delays, improve patient confidence, and enhance continuity of care. By combining accessible technology with medical oversight, Ovelia aims to transform how reproductive health conditions are recognized and managed, empowering patients with knowledge, agency, and timely access to care.
