" Being a Millennium Fellow is very important to me as it will give me the opportunity to turn my passion and dive into a real impact in the society. Through collaboration with my like-minded fellows, achieving my dreams of a better future for the children in my community will be easier. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Legal Aid and Awareness

This project involves visiting various marginalized communities in Nakuru and Baringo counties to raise legal awareness and invite community members to attend Legal Clinics. Through these legal aid awareness campaigns, we were able to support less privileged individuals by providing access to legal advice that they would otherwise not have received, as legal counsel in Kenya is often expensive and out of reach for most of the population.

About the Millennium Fellow

Brandny Kipchumba is a hard working, self-driven and detail-oriented undergraduate student at Kabarak University. Born and raised in Kenya, he carries a deep commitment to contributing to his country’s growth and positive transformation. Over the years of his upbringing and education, Brandny has developed a strong passion for human rights and particularly children’s rights and social justice. This is rooted in his personal experiences, especially his interactions with children from humble backgrounds and those families with limited access to essential services in his community. He brings to this fellowship both knowledge and dedication in these areas with the ultimate goal of securing a brighter future for children and contributing meaningfully to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. And as guided by Eliud Kipchoge’s inspiring words, “No human is limited,” Brandny believes that anything is possible if you believe.
