Millennium Fellowship Project: Community Dumpsite Rehabilitation
In my community, a large unmanaged dumpsite is causing serious environmental and health risks. Waste is piling up, polluting the air and water, and increasing disease outbreaks. Many residents are unaware of proper waste disposal, and there are no organized recycling efforts. My project, Community Dumpsite Rehabilitation, aims to transform the dumpsite into a cleaner, safer, and greener space. I plan to organize clean-up drives with volunteers and local organizations, educate the community on waste separation, recycling, and composting ,collaborate with local authorities to implement better waste management solutions , Plant trees and greenery to restore the land and improve air quality. This initiative will not only improve health and sanitation but also create environmental awareness, inspiring long-term sustainability.
