Millennium Fellowship Project: Ecofy Designs
Ecofy Designs is a student led start up working on transforming agricultural waste specifically rice husks and coconut shells as well as plastic waste into an alternative for wood . This is to tackle deforestation and pollution in Ghana as well as being a raw material solution to the 2.3 million students in Ghana who do not have a permanent seating place in the classroom as well as wood workers who need a cheaper raw materials.
About the Millennium Fellow
Meshark Kwadwo Agyekum is a second-year Bachelor of Education student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana, passionate about creative thinking, entrepreneurship, volunteering, and social impact. He believes that true solutions lie within communities and is driven by a vision to leave a lasting legacy by positively impacting one million lives through philanthropy, coaching, and innovation. Meshark founded EcoFy Designs, an emerging initiative that seeks to transform agricultural waste into sustainable products. As the admin of his college’s Opportunity Hub, which he helped establish, he is dedicated to uplifting others and sharing opportunities that spark change.
