" I am excited to meet new people and learn about their stories and understand the reasons for why they chose their projects and work on myself and improve my skill set. Most importantly create a social impact and bring awareness. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Overflow Ends With Us

Overflow Ends with Us tackles community waste issues by installing smart bins with sensors at key locations (parks, bus stops, etc.) that alert staff when full to prevent overflow. Cameras deter littering by identifying offenders, while root causes (like bin distance or poor signage) are studied for long-term solutions. Awareness will be raised through flyers and market outreach, and bins will be cleaned regularly to ensure hygiene and prevent pests. We aim to install 5 pilot smart bins in key spots, reduce overflow cases in those areas by 25%, hold at least 2 community awareness sessions
