Millennium Fellowship Project: Litter Free Malawi
Litter free Malawi is a project implemented in primary schools as a club to encourage children to work hard in school but most importantly take care of the environment and keeping the surroundings clean by involving several activities like clean-ups, songs , drama , recycling and sorting etc
About the Millennium Fellow
Queen Racheal Winga is a passionate, well spoken and goal oriented young woman currently studying her honors degree in bachelor of science in nutrition and dietetics at Kamuzu university of health sciences in Malawi. She is born and raised in Malawi and a proud patriotic citizen. She's a leaders whose goal is to help her community and Malawi at large, for example she started a project known as litter free Malawi as a club to help the young children in primary schools to grow with a culture of responsibility towards the environment and sanitation to mitigate infections and live in a tidy environment. During her holidays, she volunteers at Madalitso nutrition rehabilitation unit to help fight malnutrition in children that way she feels like she's helping her community and sometimes she's goes on community outreach to spread awareness about health and nutrition. She's a hard working girl who is ready to learn , connect and give back to her community.
