" Platform to bring my inner child to life. Growing up, I've been passionate in changing my environment especially for children and women that are underprivileged because of the environment but it hasn't been really possible because of lack of the adequate platform. Being in Millennium Fellowship will create a platform where I can be able to bring this my desire to life well. This platform would also increase my creativity thereby making me a better person to be able to impact the society. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: awaClinic

awaClinic (Awareness and Access to a Clinic) is a mobile healthcare initiative dedicated to bringing quality health education and routine screenings to underserved communities and busy workplaces across Nigeria. Many people delay care due to ignorance, harmful health myths, or tight schedules. awaClinic bridges this gap by offering on-site medical services; blood pressure checks, glucose tests, hepatitis screening, and more, while also debunking dangerous health beliefs, like reliance on harmful herbal remedies. Each visit ends with referrals to nearby primary healthcare centers, ensuring long-term care and follow-up. Whether in rural areas or city offices, awaclinic brings the hospital to the people.
This project is a subsidiary of an already existing Mother-Project — awaHealth — a crowdsourcing platform that unites donors, volunteers, and healthcare providers to empower underserved communities by connecting them with the health resources they deserve. This empowers communities to take ownership of their health. On this platform, Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs) and project creators can also submit healthcare initiatives and projects which can be funded in a collective effort.
