" Humor, heart, and hope fuel my journey in advancing sexual and reproductive health—because change happens when people feel seen, heard, and inspired. The Millennium Fellowship excites me as a space to grow alongside passionate change makers, turning bold ideas into lasting solutions that empower communities, spark conversations, and move us closer to a healthier, more equitable world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Afya Yake, Kesho Yake

The idea of this project is to empower women to take charge of their health by raising awareness about cervical cancer in a way that is personal and accessible. Through the utilization of social media and physical campaigns, the campaign aims to reach women in their everyday spaces, be it at home, work, or social settings. The focus of the campaign is on early detection, especially for sexually active individuals, and emphasis on the importance of vaccination. By sharing life-saving information, through physical outreach campaigns and using engaging social media campaigns, the campaign will create a positive difference in our societies. This project aims at building a community of women who are well informed, empowered and willing to protect their futures. I envision a world where no woman has to face cervical cancer and even worse at later stages because she lacked resources, knowledge or the confidence to prevent it. This project will launch before August 2025, and I am determined to make it a turning point on how women approach their sexual and reproductive health in our communities.
