Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Wellness Initiative
The mental wellness initiative aimed at firstly knowing how the society especially youth members know about the mental health issue and also spreading awareness on the issues related to the mental health to promote wellness of the mind. The knowing of how the society takes about the mental health was done through the survey forms given before and after the session
Plus elaborative class sessions that provides direct communication and knowledge to the students on how to look onto mental health. Furthermore in the upcoming days there is a webinar mostly among youth and adults to discuss on the matter concerning mental health related to child trauma so as to promote a better community
About the Millennium Fellow
Goddard Mwita Chacha is a passionate youth leader and student of thought, currently a medical student at MUHAS and a rising advocate for mental health across Tanzania. Born in Tanzania, his travels have exposed him to the urgent need for accessible mental health care. He has led and participated outreach efforts and moderated a regional webinar to raise awareness. Through this platform, he aims to amplify the message and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals especially those promoting health, well being and education.
