Millennium Fellowship Project: Saathi: Rights and Reach
We sensitised people across office, colleges and school through various means with respect to Disability ID(UDID) issued by government authority and government schemes. We conducted activities. We conducted discussion amongst students with disabilities to open the dialogue on critical issues. We also reached out to government to set up camp to issue cards to person with disabilities and reduce the gap between government and PwD and currently in talks with them.
About the Millennium Fellow
Vikram Kumar is a second-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) student at National Law University, Jodhpur. He contributed to this compilation as a student researcher. He is an active member of the Legal Aid and Awareness Committee at NLU Jodhpur, which is committed to advancing social justice and providing legal assistance to marginalized communities. Vikram is also associated with the Centre for Disability Studies and Empowerment at the University, where he works towards supporting students with disabilities and fostering an inclusive academic environment. His primary area of interest lies in Constitutional Law. He has a keen interest in legal research and mooting, and actively engages in academic discourse and advocacy-oriented activities that enhance his analytical and argumentative skills. he is also interested towards achieving sustainable development goals by this opportunity under this fellowship
