" here
I want to be a Millennium Fellow because it will
help me grow as a leader and make a bigger
impact in my community. Mental health
awareness is deeply needed in my society, and
this fellowship will give me the skills,
connections, and support to expand my efforts.
By joining a global network of change makers, I
will learn from others, share ideas, and improve
my project to reach more people effectively. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Awareness in My Society
In my society, people don’t really care much about mental health. They only focus on physical health, like if someone has a fever or a broken bone. But when it comes to mental health, they either ignore it or believe in superstitions. If someone is struggling with anxiety, depression, or any psychological issue, they are often seen as weak instead of someone who needs help. Because of this lack of awareness, many people never seek help, and their mental health problems remain untreated. My goal is to change this mindset by educating people about mental health. I want to do this through seminars, workshops, and social media, especially in government schools, where students often don’t get this kind of education. I also want to provide basic support for people dealing with psychological issues and encourage them to seek professional help when needed. My plan is simple: talk to people, spread awareness, and break the stigma around mental health disorders. By starting conversations and sharing knowledge, I hope to make mental health as important as physical health in my community.I believe that small steps can create big changes.
