" Advocacy for achieving gender equality is deeply embedded in my life experiences and continues to shape my work, including my current research on honor killings in Pakistan. This commitment drives my vision to challenge discriminatory practices and promote women’s rights. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will enable me to collaborate with like-minded individuals, enhance my skills, and expand my impact on a broader scale. The skills, experiences, and connections I gain through this platform will empower me to deliver effective recommendations and contribute meaningfully to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 — achieving gender equality "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Educate to Sustain Tomorrow
My project, Educate to Sustain Tomorrow, is focused on promoting climate literacy and awareness in Pakistan, a country ranked among the most climate-vulnerable in the world. Despite experiencing severe consequences of climate change, such as devastating floods, many people still lack proper understanding of the issue and often interpret these events through myths rather than science. This initiative seeks to change that by organizing interactive sessions in schools, universities, orphanages, and community spaces, including my own university. Through visuals, open discussions, and engaging activities, the project will guide people to better understand the realities of climate change, its impacts, and the actions they can take to help mitigate it. From August to December 2025, the project aims to educate at least 200 individuals, conduct sessions in 3–5 institutions, initiate small-scale tree plantation activities, and build a team of motivated youth volunteers committed to sustaining this mission for the future.
