The Millennium Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with like-minded peers, strengthen my leadership, and align my project more closely with the UNAI principles and SDGs. I'm excited to grow as a changemaker and turn bold ideas into measurable social impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Eco Friendly Earth

The Eco Friendly Earth project aims to promote sustainable practices and reduce plastic waste, aligning with SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Through interactive workshops and hands-on activities, participants from schools, communities, and beyond are educated on creative ways to reuse and recycle plastic materials, such as making pots from plastic bottles and swings from discarded tires. The project emphasizes the importance of reducing plastic use and encourages individuals to adopt environmentally conscious habits. Key activities include:
- Conducting workshops and training sessions
- Organizing green drives and cleaning activities
- Developing eco-friendly projects and DIY crafts
- Training participants on proper waste segregation techniques to facilitate recycling
- Evaluating progress through quizzes and competitions
By empowering individuals with knowledge and skills, the project seeks to create a ripple effect, inspiring a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship in communities, educational institutions, and beyond, ultimately contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
