" I am honoured to be a Millennium Fellow as it offers a global platform to address pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges through collaborative action. This opportunity allows me to contribute my experiences, engage in meaningful cross-cultural dialogue, and work alongside a diverse cohort of committed leaders. Guided by a spirit of teamwork and shared purpose, I aim to advance my knowledge and skills towards global sustainable development and personal growth. Fostering global unity, mutual understanding, and collective progress towards a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: DAYAN

The project DAYAN focuses on the economic and social development of those women who are a victim of society's orthodox illegitimate practices like witch hunting. In villages, people are not aware enough so whenever there is any untimely death of the husband or any illness happening in the family, the widow(woman) is often accused of doing black magic and is declared a witch. The project Dayan aims to rehabilitate these victims back to society and provide them with employment opportunities. We have planned to work in collaboration with local NGOs who are already working for the cause. We have planned to organise awareness camps in villages and schools to not only spread awareness but also to prevent such ill social practices. Through the NGOs, we have planned to interact with the victims of witch-hunting and make them aware of various Government employment schemes which could provide them with economic opportunities. These women are often neglected and deprived of their rights by society, so the project DAYAN specifically focuses on promoting gender equality, providing them with a decent work environment, reducing inequality and dealing with social taboos and unorthodox practices. The project aims towards the development of these victims of witch-hunting.
