Millennium Fellowship Project: Rights of Nature: a Practical Analysis
This project focuses on building a bridge between care ethics and the rights of nature by drafting a sample treaty for the rights of nature. It is designed for Indigenous communities globally who serve as guardians of nature, as well as for future generations who deserve to live in a clean and healthy environment. The project provides a new perspective on how rights of nature can be ethically justified and strengthened within global environmental governance.
