Millennium Fellowship Project: Protecting The Earth Through The Present for The Future

Protecting the Earth through the Present for the Future" is an initiative aimed at sustaining the earth by focusing on proper care of water bodies. It also aims to address proper waste disposal by creating awareness amongst children and young people through education. By so doing the younger generation is equipped with the knowledge necessary to ensure proper waste disposal and clean water bodies. This will ensure continuity and transfer of knowledge as this category of people are seen as people with great influence, having the ability to influence the people around them both old and young. Within the time span of 3 months this project aims to reach at least 5 schools with averagely 150 students, providing them education about proper waste disposal, importance of sustaining the water bodies, implications of poor environmental hygiene and their roles in promoting a sustainable community for everyone through IEC materials, charts and pictorial representation. By the end of the project, it is expected that at least 750 young people have been equipped with knowledge and made ambassadors of environmental and water body cleanliness.
