" “I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it provides a unique space to connect local action with global purpose. My work in mental health is driven by the belief that every conversation about suicide prevention has the power to save a life, and that students can be catalysts for meaningful change.” "

Millennium Fellowship Project: MindBridge: Bridging Gaps in Student Mental Health

Mind Bridge is a student-led mental health initiative aimed at reducing stigma, improving awareness, and strengthening emotional resilience among medical students. The project addresses the rising levels of stress, burnout, and silent psychological struggles within medical colleges, where many students hesitate to seek help due to fear of judgment. Through workshops, peer-support training, anonymous feedback channels, and interactive dialogues with mental health professionals, Mind Bridge creates safe spaces that encourage open conversation and help-seeking behavior. The initiative builds a supportive campus culture that prioritizes well-being, empathy, and community connection. By empowering students with knowledge, resources, and peer networks, Mind Bridge works toward a healthier, more compassionate generation of future doctors.
