" It started with a simple class paper on food systems nowadays, but it showed me something profound: every seed carries ancient wisdom, and technology can help that wisdom take root. As a Millennium Fellow, I want to work with global change makers to grow a sustainable future, where tradition and code innovate together. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Indigenous Knowledge and Food Sustainability

Inspired by "reciprocity' and "gift economy" in Braiding Sweetgrass, this project aims to reconnect people’s sensory experiences with the seasonal cycles of the land. By highlighting the ecological and cultural significance of eating in rhythm with local seasons, we hope to foster responsible consumption and contribute to sustainable food systems. The project will include propaganda, sensory-based community engagement, and practice to promote the goal of sustainable eating with indigenous knowledge.
