United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Hope Horizons Initiative

Hope Horizon Initiative exists to support and uplift refugee communities through sustainable livelihood programs, accessible mental health services, and practical adult English language education. The initiative is committed to creating inclusive spaces where refugees can rebuild their lives and actively shape their future. The project focuses on refugee youth and adults, with an emphasis on improving access to quality education.

About the Millennium Fellow

Lehamir Idriss Ali is a very motivated, self driven and brilliant gentleman currently a student at Southern New Hampshire University pursuing Bachelor's of arts in Management -Logistics and Operations.
Having fled Sudan in the year 2012 due insecurity, I currently live in Kakuma refugee camp for over 13 years. With this opportunity on the sustainability and development goals, I believe this opportunity will provide me with insights on how I can help my community overcome challenges affecting them.
