Millennium Fellowship Project: Automama
Automama is an autonomous vehicle which is intended to make the transportation issue in Bangladesh much more easier. This vehicle is developed to run in electric and solar power to ensure decrease in traditional, non- renewable fuel. The prototype of this vehicle is already in phase 2 with the ability to run in the campus areas and more features are coming in the future.
About the Millennium Fellow
Safwat Adiba Heeya is an Undergraduate student from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology,Sylhet, Bangladesh. She was born and raised in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Although she is an English major, she felt an undeniable fascination towards the non renewable energy systems in automobiles and the amazing possibilities of development in this sector, this sector has the potential for promoting sustainability very well. For that, she started her journey as a part of promotion team for the project "Automama", an autonomous vehicle which is under development now. This project had also gained pre seed funding from a university entrepreneurship program named "University Innovation Hub Program". Working on such sustainable solution for the upcoming transportation issues have made her feel like she could do something productive while not being confined to her Humanities disciplinary spectrum. She wishes to see "Automama" to be a perfect fit for promoting sustainable, innovative and compatible transport vehicle for the people in the near future.
