Millennium Fellowship Project: Rising Voices,Brighter Tomorrow

My project, Rising Voices, Brighter Tomorrow, focuses on promoting better learning environments for children in rural schools, whether it's hygiene, nutrition, building their confidence, or mentorships. My main focus this time has been helping children in rural public schools struggling with hunger and poor sanitation. However, I did my best to exhaust all I have listed- took part in a waste disposal demonstration at Baraton Centre, Nandi County. Many pupils attend classes with empty stomachs and in surroundings that lack proper waste disposal, which affects their concentration at school. I also realized that almost 30% of children in each school I visited were absent. Between August and November 2025, I visited several schools where I provided milk to the pupils, pens branded with my project name to the teachers, as part of promoting awareness about the project, and distributed dustbins, water jerricans to help maintain cleanliness within the school compound. My main goal was to support children's well-being, concentration and dignity in learning by addressing basic needs often overlooked in public schools hence ensuring that no child's potential is limited by hunger or an unhygienic environment. This project reflects my passion for education ,child welfare, and community service.
