Millennium Fellowship Project: Zan-Hub

Zan-Hub functions as a business venture which aids female Afghan students to conceptualize and launch their startup ideas. It is a space for 50 Afghan girls to exchange ideas and gain knowledge from one another as well as receive motivation. The participants will receive guidance on project development during two group mentoring events each month spanning four months. All mentoring sessions will teach attendees the fundamentals of small business planning, clear idea presentation techniques and information about future actions. The purpose of the mentoring process aims to provide participants with self-assurance rather than transforming them into expert entrepreneurs. The participants will finish the program by showing their work to audiences then celebrating their accomplishments. The program enables young women to link with girls who share their entrepreneurial vision. By providing basic tools and encouraging space the purpose of this project supports Afghan girls to start their first transformative steps. Operating through confidence building and community creation while generating the drive to take leadership roles forms the foundation of this program.
