United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: End Antibiotics Abuse project

This project is an awareness campaign focused on educating people, particularly students, about the dangers of antibiotic misuse. The target audience is secondary school students, who were taught about the proper use of drugs, with a focus on antibiotics, and the risks associated with their misuse. Through interactive sessions and discussions, the project helped students understand how improper use of antibiotics can lead to health issues and contribute to Antimicrobial Resistance.

About the Millennium Fellow

Udeh Maryrose Mmesomachukwu, a young and vibrant woman is a student at the University of nigeria enugu campus. Fuelled by her passion and dreams to save lives, protect humanity and leave an impact even after she is gone, she is currently enrolled in the above mentioned University doing 5 years course degree program: Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS). Born on the 25th of July at a teaching hospital in Enugu state, Nigeria during the early 2000's and currently residing in Enugu state, Nigeria at the time of writing. She is a powerful debater and actively developing her public speaking skills, she believes that both through public speaking and staying behind the microscope, she will so much contribute and improve the health care sector starting from her immediate environment.
