About the Millennium Fellow
Pius Maria is a final-year Metallurgical and Materials Engineering student at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She is passionate about sustainability, renewable energy, and climate action, with a focus on how engineering solutions can drive environmental and social impact. She has been part of teams conducting research, volunteering, and leadership projects that promote sustainability and youth development. As a co-founder of Eco Catalyst, she collaborates with her team on initiatives that address environmental degradation in Nigeria. After graduation, Pius plans to pursue a master’s degree in green construction and renewable energy abroad.
