" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a platform to turn ideas into tangible impact, connect with like-minded change makers, and scale solutions that advance the Sustainable Development Goals. This opportunity fuels my passion to apply science and creativity toward building sustainable solutions that address pressing global challenges. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: HealthSphere Initiative

HealthSphere is a youth-focused health education initiative created to improve lifestyle habits and health awareness among students and young people. The project addresses the challenge of limited access to simplified, practical health information by combining digital learning with small, targeted community engagements.
Between August and November, HealthSphere hosted a WhatsApp learning community where participants engaged in weekly themes, myth-versus-fact sessions, polls, and simple habit-building challenges—promoting evidence-based knowledge on nutrition, exercise, hygiene, and disease prevention.
To extend its impact beyond the digital space, HealthSphere carried out two key outreaches:
a.A mini-outreach for teenagers in September, introducing them to personal hygiene, body care, and foundational healthy lifestyle habits.
b.A diabetes awareness outreach in November, focused on educating young adults and community members about diabetes prevention, early symptoms, and healthy living practices.
Through these activities, HealthSphere has encouraged positive behavioral change, improved health literacy, and empowered young people to make informed decisions about their wellbeing.
