United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Youthful and Useful Impact Network Africa (UNUIN Africa)
Vision Statement:
To raise a generation of morally upright, academically excellent, and socially responsible African youths from underserved communities through mentorship, education, and empowerment, promoting primarily SDG's on quality education for all.
Mission Statement:
To mentor and train university aspirants in underserved African communities by:
• Preparing them for university entrance exams (e.g., Post-UTME)
• Guiding them through the admission process
• Providing academic support and accommodation for top-performing students
• Equipping them with life skills for success in university and beyond
2025 Pilot Focus: University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)
• Target: 50 students applying to UNILORIN from underserved regions
• Support Provided:
o Entrance exam (Post-UTME) training and mentorship
o Admission process guidance
on Accommodation for top 15 students who gain admission (10 females, 5 males), through their first year in the university.
o Mentorship throughout their university journey
of Skill acquisition and character development
Future Plans
• Partner with secondary schools in underserved communities
• Sponsor WAEC registration and preparation
• Expand reach to more universities and regions in Africa
• Host skill development bootcamps and leadership fellowships
Operational Strategy for 2025 Admission & Mentorship Project – UNUIN AFRICA
Project Goal
To support, train, and mentor 50 Post-UTME candidates from underserved communities for successful admission into the University of Ilorin and guide them throughout their academic journey, empowering them to give back through community impact and peer mentorship.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ayomide Victor James is a visionary leader and Mass Communication student at the University of Ilorin, where he serves as President of AMCOS. Born in Kogi State and based in Kwara State, he is passionate about leadership, brand growth, networking, and community building. He has held multiple leadership roles, including in Dare Word Student Academy, FECA, and COZA, where he coordinated impactful events and outreaches. Recognized with several awards, including “Most Charismatic Student,” Ayomide aspires to excel in branding and advertising, leveraging media and public speaking to inspire others and help brands achieve greater visibility and influence.
